Suitable For:
The SVQ Level 9 Diploma in Health and Safety is aimed at those responsible for developing day-to-day H&S procedures within their workplace.
Entry Requirements:
Extensive experience in overseeing the health and safety of construction projects is essential to achieving this qualification.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate they can meet the requirements of this qualification before registration through our Initial Assessment process. Experience in Occupational Health & Safety is required to be able to complete your assessment.
Duration:
The average qualification completion period is 4-6 months
The period of the course will significantly depend on the candidates’ interest, motivation and availability.
To achieve this qualification, all candidates will be assessed via OSAT (On-Site Assessment and Training) or remote assessments which will take place at the learners’ workplace.
Candidates will be allocated an expert assessor who will support them during the course and carry out all the necessary assessment procedures required to successfully complete the qualification.
The assessment process will consist of a range of communication methods and evidence collection processes tailored around the individual learner needs. Evidence is gathered by means of videos, photographs, On-site assessments, observations, written questions, workplace documents, professional discussions and witness testimonies. Your assessor will support you throughout the process.
Upon successfully completion of the course, you will be awarded a SCQF Level 9 SVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (equivalent to an NVQ Level 6). You can apply for a black card using your diploma along with a valid CITB Health and Safety Test which must be achieved within the last two years.
