Suitable For:
The Level 3 Diploma in Heating and Ventilating Ductwork: Planning and Installation is the official vocational qualification suitable for duct workers who have five or more years of experience as a duct fitter.
Entry Requirements:
Learners must be aged 16+ and competent in their current job role. Candidates must have a minimum of five years’ experience as a duct fitter. All candidates will need to complete an initial assessment with their allocated assessor before registration.
Duration:
The average qualification completion time is 6-12 Weeks
The period of the course will significantly depend on the candidates’ interest, motivation and availability.
To achieve this qualification, all candidates will be assessed via OSAT (On-Site Assessment and Training) or remote assessments which will take place at the learners’ workplace.
Candidates will be allocated an expert assessor who will support them during the course and carry out all the necessary assessment procedures required to successfully complete the qualification.
The assessment process will consist of a range of communication methods and evidence collection processes tailored around the individual learner needs. Evidence is gathered by means of videos, photographs, On-site assessments, observations, written questions, workplace documents, professional discussions and witness testimonies. Your assessor will support you throughout the process.
Upon successfully completion of the course, you will be awarded a SCQF Level 6 SVQ Diploma in Heating and Ventilating Ductwork: Planning and Installation (equivalent to a NVQ Level 3). You can apply for a gold CSCS card using your SVQ Diploma along with one of the following health and safety testing requirements:
